Mari Mari Narváez

Mari Mari Narváez (she/her) is a Puerto Rican journalist, writer, and human rights activist. She is the founder and executive director of Kilómetro Cero, a human rights organization that fights police violence and repression and proposes new forms of public safety, based on human rights and public health perspectives. Mari Mari has a master’s degree in journalism and Latin American studies and has done doctoral work in history and gender studies. She is also a writer and columnist for various newspapers in Puerto Rico and the coauthor of six books in Spanish.
